Spring 2011 Nashoba
Clinics
Tom O’Carroll Clinic, April 16-18
Tom is a Nashoba favorite, and this is his third time
to come to our
area. He also has trained several Nashoba driving
horses and does a
wonderful job with problem horses or starting horses
to drive. His
driving mantra is SAFETY, and he emphasizes
incident-free driving.
Tom’s Good Hands Training Center is located in
Navasota, Texas, and
“good hands” is what he teaches. Tom wants you and
your horse to have a
comfortable experience every time you drive. He wants
you to develop in
your horse a willing attitude that thrives on human
interaction rather
than resistance. Tom is the ultimate teacher in that
he will work with
you “til the cows come home” OR until you get what
he’s teaching!!
Don’t miss this opportunity to work with Tom
O’Carroll.

Larry Poulin Clinic, May 21-23
Nashoba Carriage Association is honored to host Larry
Poulin as a
clinician this spring. He has had an extremely
successful driving
career, having won the USET Pairs Championship seven
times. He was the
highest placed American driver at the World
Championships three times.
He was one of three drivers representing the U.S. in
Hungary at the
World Pair Driving Championships last August. He
retired from competing
this year and is placing his full attention on
training.
Larry is from Petersham, MA, and he winters in the
Ocala area of
Florida for the active carriage driving season. It is
there that the
Chancellors, driving members of our club, met Larry,
and they highly
recommend him as a clinician. Larry’s horsemanship
skills are
phenomenal, and his ability to convey how to get you
and your horse on
the same page is his strong point. Larry’s main
emphasis is patience in
training, and he passes along his calm demeanor to the
student and the
horse.
This is the chance of a lifetime to train with a
driver of this caliber
so close to home! Contact captbobmartin@aol.com
